Try to catch up ( Week 2)

I am a little bit left behind for the second week..I feel a bit disappointed of myself, since I put all of my energy to do the assignments I have at work and of course on this online course but I realize that everything changes in minutes and can a little bit messy. The external things came up but here I am..trying to catch up ..

The Week 1 is closed and the Week 2 has already begun..there are 4 tasks for this week and I am learning what should I do and what should I read I learned so much in Week 1. Blogs, techniques of teaching, recognized some students' problems in facing new techniques and many more.. I am amazed that it was still in Week 1. I am so glad that there are many experienced and talented teachers as my classmates.
Since I am eager to try the blog idea as a new technique to teach English.. I learned that there are 3 types of blogs which I can use in class. Tutor blog,Class blog and Learners blog. These three types of blog come along with the strength and the weakness. They are able to be combined in order to find the suitable blog to each class.

Now..It's time to take the challenge a step higher and I am ready to catch up..

Go Dhika go..

  1. Hi Dhika,
It's my first time to give comment on your blog. No, you're not left behind but just busy with all the duties that you must do as a lecturer.
You design your blog very nicely with pictures of leaves and cartoon. And your writing is very neat and easy to read too. No wonder you're teaching writing in your univ.
Go Dhika go...I'm waiting for your next share.
    Warmest regards from Malang.

  2. Well if you think you're not catching up, you're just wrong, because by not catching up and by posting this blog you've just helped me get new information as fast as blinking, because I had no clue we had 3types of blogs we can use in class!!I've missed it that info it seems. Good job Dhika, you've just helped us indirectly,so you're not falling behind!

  7. Hi Dhika,

I felt exactly the same! I was awake till 4 am on Wednesday in order to finish the task this week, but now, things are going smoothly and I am almost done with the assignments. So, take it easy and try to manage your time effectively to complete the tasks on time and get a good night sleep as well. I am giving you this advice, I hope I can follow it too next week, haha

  8. Hi Shahnoza..

No doubt I had a company here..I was awake till 12 AM..haha..but you were the winner..yes..I feel everything is okay till today..I could finish my task on time..if I can't say on the limit time..

Thank you for you advice..I have a plan that I don't want to have that kind of experience again..it was so intense..argghh..

So..the advice is a good advice for both of us haha..

  9. Hi Dhika,

I know how you feel! I´ve been there myself during the orientation days and first week. This week, I stayed up past midnight on Wednesday in order to finish one of the tasks. I´m still trying out different strategies to see which one works better for me in order to be updated without experiencing the stress of meeting deadlines. I´m really tied up with many responsibilities right now, so it´s not easy. Cheer up. You´re doing fine.
    Best,

  10. Hi Dhika, Margarita, Shahnoza,Carol, Eugenie, Yudi - It's great to see that I'm not alone with the sense of disorientation. Although, as you all pointed out, we do manage and find the time to learn and post our assignment. I too find it hard to follow on time with all there is to do beside the course. We only have one computer and everyone needs to share, so I have to find the time to "squeeze" my assignments in.
Dhika, your blog is beautiful. How did you manage to insert the drawings? Where did you take the decore from?
    Good luck!!

  11. Hi Margarita..

It seemed that we all were busy at the beginning of the week..I thought that I was the only one..now I know I wasn't...I believe that you will get the best strategy for managing your time..I printed the reading material which was given by Robert..so I could read it in my break time..I didn't have to be online..it was quite helpful..

    Good Luck ^^
